Why are my scanned pictures grainy with no detail? - vuescan
I have two scanners, third party software. IrfanView and XnView. Both programs collect my nice scanner, but I can not do a decent picture. All you get is a grainy picture, with no details. Do you think that this is a problem with my scanner? or is it something that I am good.

It depends on a number of things. If you are an extension of them, you will see a deterioration in image quality. You can also scan very low resolution. I always have the scanning software that came with your scanner to set the resolution to my taste.
